This comfortable and well equipped Villa with its own pool is idyllically positioned overlooking a quiet sandy beach on the South Coast of Crete, a little over 2 kms from Preveli Beach  and 2 kms from the picturesque little harbour side taverna at Agia Fotini. 
The bright and spacious open plan ground floor incorporates a comfortable sitting area, dining area and a well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, full cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Also on this level is the full bathroom, which also houses the washing machine. Wooden steps descend from the raised ground floor to a delightful garden with aforesaid 45sq m pool with a separate children's area. Patio furniture is placed under the pergola beside the lawn where steps lead down to the beach.
On the first floor, the double and twin bedrooms both have air conditioning and access to a large sea view balcony.
Neighbouring Villa Chryssa and quite private from it, with its own pool, Villa Faye is built in very similar style, but with a garden terraced in 3 levels down the hillside.
Villa Chryssa will tick all the boxes for those looking for a real get away from it all  holiday in a beautiful location. The village of Kerames over 4 kms distant has very little to offer in the way of facilities, although very much in the way of its setting and authenticity. For general shopping the drive to Spili takes approx 35 mins so its worth stocking up while you are there - the bread from the wood fired baker freezes well!
If you can bear to tear yourself away, the monastry at Preveli can be visited  either by walking up the steps from Preveli beach or following the unmade along Swallows Canyon. Preveli is a further drive of approx 20 mins. Excellent tavernas within easy driving distance can be found on the beaches at  Ligres and  Triopetra.

Kerames, Crete
Turning off the road after passing through the pretty spa village of Spili, you are entering a different world. As you wind towards the coast, first climbing upward towards the tiny village of Akounda, with its wonderful old wash house hidden away amongst its tiny streets, followed by equally tiny, Ardaktos then turning and winding before you cross over the ridge and catch site of the Libyan sea stretching below. Then begins the downward stretch of the journey, passing through more tiny villages where life continues in much the same way as it has for centuries, then at last, Kerames balancing on the hillside. ...More about Kerames >>
